Do I need to replace my existing equipment to use AI automation?
No. Optimus is designed to integrate with your existing cameras, robots, PLCs, sensors, and conveyors. We design around what you already have, which protects your investment and avoids the disruption of a full rip-and-replace project.
How long does a typical AI automation project take?
Most projects follow a 6-step process: Exploration, Pre-Study, Kick-Off, Development, Delivery, and Support. A pre-study typically takes a few weeks. A full Production Cell deployment varies by complexity — from a few months for straightforward vision systems to longer for multi-robot or high-integration projects.
What does the free consultation include?
We analyse your specific production challenge, assess technical feasibility using Optimus, and provide an honest recommendation — no charge and no commitment required. We respond within 1 business day.
How much does an AI automation project cost?
Most projects start with a pre-study at approximately €10,000. A Production Cell installation is typically €10,000–€30,000 for software and integration, depending on scope and hardware. It includes a 15-month warranty and license with Standard support. After 15 months, the license renews at approx. €500–€1,500/month per system depending on complexity; Premium support is quoted on request. Enterprise projects are quoted per project. Robots, conveyors, and mechanical modifications are quoted separately unless included in scope.
Do you offer ongoing support after deployment?
Yes. The license includes the SLA. The Standard tier gives a same-business-day response when production has stopped, 24/7 monitoring with alarms, daily backups, software and AI updates, and monthly health reports. Premium adds a 2-hour response around the clock. With remote access and production integration, we can often identify the source of a reported issue within minutes — including external causes such as sensors, PLC signals, networks, lighting, or robot state.
What is the Optimus platform and how is it licensed?
Optimus is Byte Motion's industrial AI vision platform. It combines camera-agnostic vision, AI models, ROS2, PLC and robot communication, Node-RED orchestration, dashboards, and analytics. Byte Motion provides the industrial PC it runs on. The first 15 months of license are included in each installation. After that the license renews at approx. €500–€1,500/month per system, depending on complexity, and includes the SLA. If the license is not renewed, the system stops working after written notice.
